Our Recent Steel Casing Pipe Projects
San Antonio Water System Project
In the past decade, San Antonio has experienced the most significant population growth among all U.S. cities. With the population surging to nearly 1.5 million residents, the San Antonio Water System needed extensive renovations. A total of 3.1 miles of 78″ wastewater main replaced the old 48″ mains, eliminating one siphon.
Pittsburgh Pipe played a crucial role by supplying 6,340 linear feet of 96″ casing pipe using the micro tunneling method. Additionally, we supplied 78″ FRP carrier pipe for nine tunnel runs. The project involved coordination with Fort Sam Houston to install multiple manholes, an 8″ water line, a 16″ water line, an 8″ sewer, a 10″ sewer, bypass pumping, and pavement restoration. The revitalized San Antonio Water System is now well-equipped to meet the needs of the growing population for many years to come.
Lower Meramec Wastewater Treatment Facility Expansion Phase II
MSD Project Clear is safeguarding both public and environmental well-being through planned construction situated at 7849 Fine Road. Located on MSD property, this project aims to expand and enhance the Lower Meramec Wastewater Treatment Facility, involving a substantial investment of $117 million. These modifications underscore MSD Project Clear’s commitment to enhancing water quality in the Meramec River. The elimination of the Fenton Wastewater Treatment Facility and the enhancement of treatment at the Lower Meramec Wastewater Treatment Facility are poised to impact the water quality in our region significantly.
