Joseph Bergfeld – CEO

Joe Bergfeld established Pittsburgh Pipe in 1977 with his business partner, Bill Manser. Bill has since retired, but Joe has stayed on as leader of the Pittsburgh Pipe management team.

With the benefit of previous experience in the company’s sales, purchasing, and administrative departments, Joe now focuses on Senior Management Team development, strategic planning, and new market development.

Joe received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Missouri – St. Louis (UMSL) and is a past President and Lifetime Board Member of the National Association of Steel Pipe Distributors.


Kevin Coan – President

Kevin Coan is the President of Pittsburgh Pipe & Supply Corp in St. Louis Missouri. Kevin works with Pittsburgh Pipe’s Senior Management Team to deliver on the company’s mission of “Supporting America’s Infrastructure through the manufacture and distribution of superior quality steel pipe and other underground construction products”. The rebuilding of our country’s infrastructure is a core component of Pittsburgh Pipe’s past and future, and one that all of our team members take great pride in.

Kevin joined the Pittsburgh Pipe team in 2008, as the company’s General Manager. Coming to the job with over 25 years of management experience, Kevin assisted in the opening of the company’s state of the art manufacturing facility in Litchfield, Illinois. Kevin was also instrumental in the building of a Senior Management Team positioned to continue moving Pittsburgh Pipe forward as a reliable and dedicated manufacturer and supplier of goods to our infrastructure building partners in the underground utility industry.

In 2015, Kevin succeeded Joe Bergfeld as only the second President in Pittsburgh Pipe’s 40-year history of being the pipe supplier our customers know they can rely on for superior quality and exceptional customer service.

Kevin earned a B.S. in Business from Maryville University and a Juris Doctor (Law) degree from Saint Louis University.


Jerry Brookshire – Purchasing Manager

Jerry Brookshire joined Pittsburgh Pipe in 2006 as a purchasing agent.  Not long after, he worked his way up to a leadership role as Purchasing Manager.

Jerry has used his abundant abilities in statistical analysis to develop and manage Pittsburgh Pipe’s inventory. Additionally, Jerry develops and manages vendor relationships throughout Pittsburgh Pipe’s supply chain. He also serves as a member of the Senior Management team and serves on the Strategic Planning Committee.

Jerry is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia (MIZZOU) and is a member of Pittsburgh Pipe’s Community Service Committee.


Kevin Davidson – Steel Products Sales Manager

Kevin Davidson started his career with Pittsburgh Pipe & Supply Corp. back in 1982.

With over 32 years of experience in the underground utility industry, Kevin brings an unparalleled level of knowledge and experience as our Steel Products Sales Manager. Recognized by piping contractors, contemporaries and competitors alike as one of the most knowledgeable insiders on steel pipe and related piping products, Kevin’s experience and insight is sought out and relied on for many complex, large-scale projects. Kevin is also a member of the “Smart Team,” the Strategic Planning Committee, and the Senior Management Team.

Kevin’s wealth of experience and industry knowledge positions Pittsburgh Pipe as one of the go-to entities on which pipe contractors can rely for jobs of all shapes and sizes. Kevin has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Saint Louis University (SLU).


Robert Naumann – Telecom Products Sales Manager

Bob Naumann began his career with Pittsburgh Pipe in 1986.

Relying on his 28 years of industry knowledge, pipe contractors know that Bob is the person to contact for their underground utility needs in the telecom area. Bob was instrumental in positioning Pittsburgh Pipe as an industry leader in the supply of high-density polyethylene duct, utility boxes and related products to piping contractors installing and expanding the fiber optic superhighway all across North America.

In addition to directing our sales team in the sale of telecom products, Bob serves on the “Smart Team” and is a member of both the Senior Management Team and Strategic Planning Committee. Bob graduated from the University of Missouri – St. Louis (UMSL) with a degree in business.
