These organizations help promote our industry and help to educate their members and the public on current industry trends. Being a part of these associations is an effective way for us to serve and promote the construction industry. These affiliations are also a great way for us to connect with others in our industry.

Deep Foundations Institute (DFI):

DFI was incorporated in 1976 in the State of New Jersey as a 501(c)(6) non-profit association. DFI is an international association of contractors, engineers, suppliers, academics, and owners in the deep foundations’ industry. By bringing members together through networking, education, communication, and collaboration, DFI has created a multi-disciplinary common vision for continual improvement of deep foundations. They promote the advancement of the deep foundations’ industry through technical committees, educational programs, publications of guides and specifications, research, government relations, and outreach. DFI has more than 3,000 members worldwide.

National Association of Steel Pipe Distributors (NASPD)

The NASPD is a national trade association representing the steel pipe and tubular products distribution industry. The NASPD provides a variety of services to its members in an effort to help them succeed in a highly competitive market, such as educational programs, conferences and conventions, seminars and workshops, and industry publications. Their mission is to provide an environment and forum for members to network, communicate, educate and promote the steel pipe and tube industry.

National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA)

NUCA was founded in 1964 and is the leading trade association working solely for the utility construction and excavation industry in the United States. NUCA provides services to its members that focus on shared industry issues in an effort to help them improve operational proficiency and financial performance. NUCA has worked diligently to secure funding for America’s aging underground infrastructure. They have also been the driving force for improving conditions in the utility construction and excavation industry.

Pile Driving Contractors Association (PDCA)

PDCA is an organization of pile driving contractors that advocates increasing the use of driven piles for deep foundations and earth retention systems. PDCA promotes the use of driven pile solutions in all cases where they are effective, supports educational programs for engineers, and encourages and supports research to improve driven piles. PDCA gives a larger voice to contractors when it comes to establishing procedures and standards for driven piles.

Power and Communication Contractors Association (PCCA)

The PCCA is a non-profit corporation founding in 1945 and is the national trade association for companies constructing electric power facilities. This includes transmission and distribution lines, substations and telephone, fiber optic and cable television systems. Other members’ business activities include directional drilling, local area and premises wiring, water, and sewer utilities, and gas and oil pipelines. The PCCA’s members are the leading construction, manufacturing, supply and service firms in the industry.
